Carrie Underwood Unveils New 'Cry Pretty' Glitter Tears Snapchat Filter

If you want to replicate the glorious glitter tears that Carrie Underwood dons on the cover to her new album, Cry Pretty, just head over to Snapchat to tap into their latest filter in honor of the country titan's new album.

On Monday (September 17), the American Idol champ took to Twitter to unveil the glittery filter as she lip-synched to the set's title track. "#CryPretty Glitter tears are available on Snapchat!" the 35-year-old singer captioned the video, before sharing the Snapcode that you can scan to try out the look for yourself. Even before the Snapchat filter was unveiled, iHeartRadio worked on our own makeup tutorial to replicate the sad tears from the singer/songwriter's artwork, which was shot by photographer Randee St. Nicholas. Makeup artist Ruthie Weems from the Center of Makeup Artistry & Design joined us to recreate the signature look and we'd like to think that we nailed it. Scroll on below for more on that.

As per Billboard, Underwood is on track to snag her fourth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart, with the set moving an estimated 210,000 equivalent album units in the week ending September 20. Expect a more concrete estimate as we move closer to the big Sunday unveil. Underwood previously topped the Billboard 200 chart with Blown Away (2012), Play On (2009) and Carnival Ride (2007).

You can get an even bigger dose of Underwood when she hits our 2018 iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas this weekend alongside a lineup of superstar artists, including Justin Timberlake, Mariah Carey, Fleetwood Mac and more. Click here for more details!
