44 Cattle Perish In Upper Sandusky Barn Fire

Forty-four cattle died in a barn fire Saturday afternoon in Upper Sandusky. The fire happened at 15627 Ohio 294 near Harpster. According to the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office, a renter of the property returned home around noon and was watching the Ohio State University game and was notified by a passerby that the barn was on fire. The renter tried to free the cattle but the fire was too high. No one was injured and the barn was a complete loss. Two farm tractors were also destroyed in the fire. The fire is under investigation.
