Thomas Rhett shared an adorable look at life with his family after he and his wife, Lauren Akins, welcomed Baby No. 5.
“We’ll be here,” the country star captioned a post on Instagram on Thursday (March 5). Rhett’s post included a glimpse of Akins napping with the couple’s newborn son around 5:28 p.m. on February 24. Rhett also included snapshots of his daughters, his son sleeping on his shoulder and more.
Rhett, 35, and Akins, 36, welcomed son Brave Elijah Akins last month, nearly two weeks early. He joined big sisters Willa Gray (10), Ada James (8), Lennon Love (5) and Lillie Carolina (3). Akins said as she announced her son’s arrival on Instagram on February 27 that “Thomas Rhett was my biggest champion in labor & delivery🤍 He helped deliver him (😭), was the first one to see and *tearfully*, mixed with a bit of shock announce to us all in the room ‘It’s a BOY’😭🩵🥰 We are so grateful God chose us to have YOU cutie pie🥰🥰 Your four sisters are smitten and we are completely over the moon in love with you big Brave boy 🩵🌙🩵”
Rhett is one of several country stars welcoming a baby into the family in 2026, along with Emmy Russell (late legend Loretta Lynn's granddaughter), Parker McCollum, iHeartRadio's Bobby Bones, Adam Doleac and more. Luke Combs and his wife recently welcomed Baby No. 3, and Dylan Marlowe and his wife welcomed twins. See the list of pregnancy announcements here.
