National Blood Crisis: How You Can Help and win a Super Bowl LVI experience

We are facing the worst blood shortage in more than a decade in our country. The nation's blood supply is dangerously low and the Red Cross has issued it's first National Blood Crisis.

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a massive decline in donor turnout, the cancellation of 62% blood drives at schools and Universities and staffing challenges, Last year, the Red Cross saw a 34% decline in new donors.

A joint statement with America’s Blood Centers and the Association for the Advancement of Blood and Biotherapies warned “If the nation’s blood supply does not stabilize soon, life-saving blood may not be available for some patients when it is needed.” The statement also said Blood centers across the U.S. have reported less than a one-day supply of some blood types.

According to the American Red Cross, Doctors have been forced to make difficult decisions about who receives blood transfusions and who will need to wait until more products become available. Blood and platelet donations are critically needed to help prevent further delays in vital medical treatments.

All blood types are needed, but Type O postive and Type O Negative are the most critically needed as well platelet donations.

If you step up and donate this month, there are some great incentives!
