On 09-28-2022 at 12:21 a.m., Marion Police were dispatched to the intersection of W. Columbia and Davids Streets for a single vehicle crash into a utility pole.
Through investigation, Officers determined that Andrew J. Cramer (age 21 of Marion) was travelling Northbound on Davids Street in a 2008 Acura 4 door when he lost control of the vehicle, crossed oncoming traffic and struck a utility pole on the West side of the road.
Ethan K. Harris (age 21 of Marion) was a passenger in the vehicle driven by Cramer. Both Cramer and Harris were transported to Marion General Hospital and later flown to Columbus area trauma centers. Cramer was transported in serious but stable condition and Harris was transported with life-threatening injuries.
It is suspected that intoxicating drugs were a factor in this crash, which remains under investigation pending toxicology results. Additional details will be released upon receipt of toxicology results or as Marion Police become aware of a significant change in the condition of the vehicle occupants.
