School Board Parent "Really Disturbed" By Litter Boxes In School Bathroom

One parent is addressing an important issue at a Michigan School Board meeting.... and that CAT LITTER BOXES in the bathrooms, for students that are FURRIES.

In Michigan, a parent named Lisa Hansen during the public comment portion of the district's Board of Education meeting addressed something she believed was "really disturbing" about what was going on at her child's school. She was told by a child that board members where allowing cat littler boxes to be installed in student uni-sex bathrooms, so as to be inclusive for those who are "Furries".

Furries are people who love to dress up as animals and some identify as a certain animal. Hansen believed the school was catering to kids with unrealistic fantasies and living in a dream world. She doesn't think this is something her child should be subjected to or that anyone should have to acknowledge as a legit thing.

"Yesterday I heard something, and I was stunned, and today I am equally stunned and a little bit upset. Well, not a little bit, a lot a bit upset — furious; I would even use that word," Hansen said. "I heard that at least one of our schools in our town has a, in one of the unisex bathrooms, a litter box for the kids that identify as cats. And um, I am really disturbed by that."

District officials contacted Mrs. Hansen afterward and let her know that it was only an online rumor. There was no plan to put actual litter boxes in bathrooms.

Superintendent Michael Sharrow addressed the rumors to parents district-wide. He released a statement saying, "It is such a source of disappointment that I felt the necessity to communicate this message to you. In this divisive/contentious world in which we currently find ourselves, I ask that if you hear wild accusations that don’t sound like something in which your Midland Public Schools Board of Education, Administration, District would be part, take a moment to send an MPSConnect message to me."

Well damn.... guess I won't need this goat suit for work now!
