Famous British long distance runner Jim Plunkett Cole -- who happens to currently be living in northern California -- celebrated the Golden State Warriors winning the NBA Championship by running 50 miles.
But, he didn’t just run a random 50 miles. Instead, he used a GPS run-tracker on his smartphone to spell out “Warriors 2017 NBA Champs” on the streets of San Francisco.
He thought the run would be 30 miles and planned on knocking it out in one day. It didn’t happen because it took 50.3 miles to get it done, which he spread over two days.
That’s almost two marathons in two days, up and down the hills of San Francisco. It’s no wonder that when he finished, he went to bed and didn’t wake up until noon the next day. (Washington Post)
