SCIENTISTS NAME PLANETARY SYSTEM AFTER BEER!

Astronomers in Belgium recently found three new planets that might have water on them, which means they might be able to sustain human life.

These astronomers then took the bold step of naming the planets after beer, calling the system TRAPPIST.

Officially, "TRAPPIST" stands for “Transiting Planets and Planetesimals Small Telescope" – but the scientists admit the name actually honors the Trappist beers brewed by monks in Belgium, which date back to the time of Galileo in the 16th century.

And while there might be water on these planets, there is no proof that either barley or hops are growing there, which means brewing outer space beer will be difficult. (Vice)
