Officials Looking Into Tornado Shelter Failure In Delaware County

Officials say they are trying to determine what happened when a tornado shelter in Delaware County failed to open during a storm warning on Saturday. According to reports released yesterday, the shelter at Delaware State Park remained locked despite warnings from the National Weather Service. Witnesses say over 100 people lined up at the shelter to seek safety, but the doors never opened. Authorities with the State Parks Service say the shelter malfunctioned and they are investigating the incident.
