Patrol Investigates Injury Commercial Crash In Delaware County

The Delaware Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a single vehicle, injury traffic crash, involving a commercial UPS package delivery truck. The crash occurred at approximately 8:48 A.M. on Monday, on US 23, in Troy Township, Delaware County.

A brown, 2014 UPS delivery truck was traveling southbound on US 23, when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a guardrail, and a tree before overturning onto its side.

The driver Mr. Aaron J. Bishop of Bucyrus, Ohio was transported by Delaware County EMS to Riverside Methodist Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

One lane of US 23 northbound, and southbound was closed at mile post 15 for approximately two hours while recovery crews removed the vehicle from the scene.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Delaware Police Department, Delaware City Street Department, and Delaware County EMS.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reminds motorists to remain alert, and undistracted. The crash remains under investigation.
