One area school is feeling the effect of the latest flu outbreak. Marion Preparatory Academy was closed on Friday. According to their Facebook page the school closed to do a deep clean so everything is ready to go for today. Marion Preparatory Academy Principal, Jennifer Hutton tell WSYX TV that 40% of her students were out with the flu in the first week of January, So, students and staff were given the day off for crews to clean the building to make sure that the building was clean, and that they come back and it's as germ-free as they can possibly make it.
