Jimmie Allen fans are abuzz Thursday afternoon (September 23) — the “Freedom Was A Highway” artist teased followers with an unreleased song on Instagram.
The reminiscent track reflects on some things in life that “are real quick to get gone,” and cherishes others that are “built to last,” inspiring the track’s title (remembering old records, a softball glove, his blue jeans and a rusted F-150 — among other cherished items — along the way). Within a few hours, fans dropped comments that the snippet of the song that they got to hear is “SO GOOD 😭❤,” assuring him that they “love it 🔥🔥🔥”
Though it’s not clear whether (or when) Allen will release the full song, he previously announced a new single called “On and On” with Chuck Wicks, available Friday (September 24).
It’s one of several recent releases for the Dancing With The Stars contestant, who serves as Executive Music Producer for the Netflix series Titletown High, which released last month. Allen’s new song “Big In A Small Town” serves as the theme song, which was the “cherry on top” for Allen as he took on his new role, he said.
