Collins Defeats McGowan in Republican Primary for Marion Mayor

Tuesday’s Primary Election in Marion saw Bill Collins defeat republican challenger Sue McGowan to get the party’s nod to run against democrat Glenn Coble in November’s General Election. The only contested city council race in Marion saw republican incumbent Jason Schaber defeat Carrie Fuller in the 3rd ward. The River Valley Local Schools Bond Issue, Tax Levy and Income Tax Renewal all failed.
