Narcotics Investigation: Crawford County Sheriff Arrest 24 Year Old

On October 13th, 2023 Deputies from Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and METRICH concluded a narcotics investigation at 921 E. Mansfield St Bucyrus, Ohio 44820. The Crawford County Special Response Team (SRT) executed the narcotic search warrant. The SRT consists of members of the Sheriff’s Office, Bucyrus Police Department, Crestline Police Department, Galion Police Department and New Washington Police Department with Bucyrus and Galion Fire Departments.

The target of the investigation was Jeremia Batcheller, age 24 who was arrested during the execution of the search warrant. The following individuals were located inside and detained but were later released after questioning: Cathy Beam, age 25, Tobias Waldbauer, age 24, Tristan Mills, age 24, and James Gatchel, age 25.

Suspected methamphetamines, Prescription pills, marijuana and drug paraphernalia was seized from the residence.

All individuals were taken to the Crawford County Justice Center, Batcheller is facing charges of trafficking in methamphetamines. Reports will be forwarded to the Crawford County Prosecutors Office for consideration of charges.

This case is still being investigated by the Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Scott Kent and Lt.
