Marion Man Deceased After Apparent Suicide

On Saturday, May 5th, around 11:30 pm., Deputies from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Dallas Township Volunteer Fire Department, and Life Support responded to 360 State Route 4 in Marion to the report of a possible suicide. Deputies arrived on scene and discovered Matthew Woods, age 41, of Marion deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot injury. Crawford County Coroner Christopher Johnson was called to the scene and pronounced Woods dead. This incident remains under investigation
