Marion – Troopers from the Marion Post are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in the early morning hours of May 18, 2025, on Caledonia Northern Road, north of Emahiser Road in Marion County.
The crash involved a 2024 Suzuki GSX1000, driven by Seth G. Reece, age 27, of Marion, Ohio. The preliminary investigation indicates Mr. Reece was traveling northbound on Caledonia Northern Road approaching the intersection of Emahiser Road. Mr. Reece failed to negotiate the curve at the intersection, and traveled off the right side of the roadway into a field. After entering the field, Mr. Reece was unable to maintain control of the motorcycle, causing him to overturn before coming to final rest.
Mr. Reece was pronounced deceased on scene by the Marion County Coroner Investigator, April Short. Mr. Reece was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by First Consolidated Fire and EMS, and Ron’s Towing.
The crash remains under investigation.
